I just have this feeling a team not yet considered could sneak in with a deal. And I got the feeling MIN could try for Mike, if not then perhaps Wideman.

What about Ottawa trade? Mark Stone + Michalek + 2nd round pick for Cammy? LOL

I think it'll be LA, Det or Pitt.

And the more LA and Det struggle to score the more the price goes up.

Ott could very well be in the mix.

Then flip Michalek for a low 1st? Sounds like a good deal for all.

Last thing the Habs need is another diminutive forward. I really don't think they'd want Cammy back anyways. He had interesting parting words for the organization.

Perhaps, but Ottawa has already traded away a first round to get bobby Ryan so I doubt they will offer another first round now, perhaps first round of 2016 or an early second round pick 2014. Anyhow, I think there are possibilities for a trade with many teams. Cammy adds speed and he is quite talented. I'd like Ott to have a crack at him.

Whatever Calgary does with Mike... try to trade him either Before or after a game... not during

I could see him going to the Leafs for Ashton + 2nd.

Never been a fan of Cammalleri. Small, one-dimensional, often injured, and inconsistent. Please don't come to Ottawa.

Let me guess, you want Kadri + 1st.

No, but if Ashton is said prospect, it would be a 1st not a 2nd....Ashton is not exactly...high...on their level of prospects.

Cammalleri won't be going to the Leafs either way, but the Flames likely dont have much interest in an Ashton type player. 3rd liner at best.

If it were to be Detroit, what about trying for Anthony Mantha and lower draft pick.

The target may be a 1st round pick, but this is a higher level prospect (that was a first round pick) who would fit the teams need for size on the wing. Does he play the right side, as that would be even better.

Have the key pieces be Cammileri with half his salary retained, for Mantha. then tweak either side from there.

Why would you think that?

I think the Flames will retain as much of Cammalleri's salary as possible and sell to Anahiem for their 1st round pick and Emerson Etem. Anahiem has 2 first rnd and 2 second rnd picks for the 2014 draft so they might be looking to top up their scoring especially on their #2 PP and I think Cammalleri fits into that. Etem is 6.0' and 194 and is a RW which I think the Flames are in need on the right side.

OR

San Jose
2nd rnd
3rd rnd
Matt Tennyson (RFA at the end of this season and they have 2 - 2nd rnd picks)

If the Flames somehow managed to wrangle Mantha for Cammy I think it would be straight up.....hell, the Flames might even have to sweeten the pot.

But I do like your thinking....especially with this years underwhelming draft class.

Interesting....we don't normally pay much attention to the Ducks, but you're right, I think they will be making a move for sure.
